Brenda's Bio
Brenda Dreams of Pop Tarts

Hello! My name is Brenda Fallon, and I'm a freelance web designer, graphic artist and promotions guru. I've spent the majority of my professional life entertaining people either directly or indirectly.

My hands-on entertaining experience began with a brief stint as a dancing gorilla at an amusement park. I was also a magician's assistant and a stripping buzzard (don't ask) before moving on to the "greener pastures" of Irish folk music. For nearly a decade I fronted the Boston-based Celtic rock band Hiring Fair. We toured extensively, and it was not uncommon to play one weekend in Portland, Maine (temperature minus 12 degrees) followed the next week by a stint in Key West (where, ironically, I was once chased by a very large buzzard!)

Indirectly, my entertainment experience is grounded in years of music promotion. As part of the marketing team at Rounder Records, I was priveleged to design ad campaigns for such brilliant artists as Alison Krauss and Roomful of Blues. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn! When a friend announced he was forming and indie label and wanted me to run the show, I jumped at the chance.

DDM Music and Distribution became my life. The best thing about running a small company is that you learn to do it all. When our web designer was suddenly deployed to Bosnia, he left me with a "high-five" and a password to our corporate web site. It was sink or swim - and I'm proud to say I dog-paddled my way to updating our site in a matter of hours! I was enthralled, and I've never looked back. Give me a cup of coffee and a box of frosted cherry Pop-Tarts and I'll crunch code all night long!

Now I want to put that enthusiasm to work for you. Handled correctly, anything and everything can be exciting. It's true - I once made a rap song out of the provisions of a homeowners endorsement. If I can make insurance exciting, imagine what I can do for YOU!
